What is SOVIETWAVE RECORDS

Sovietwave Records is a musical corner that started as replication of Soviet art earnestly, longing for the future promised and already reached the, seemingly, utopian achievements.

Originally, we wanted just to give exposure to Post-Soviet musicians who have always been isolated from the West but grew up entirely on Western culture – these ultimately best, aesthetic and humane representatives of Western Art, Movies and, especially, Music: Vangelis, Linkin Park, Placebo, System of a Down – just to name a few.

By doing all that, we actually had to look back to our past, achievements and culture, which left us with no moral right to stay away from the topic of purposely grim representation of USSR in history and culture. 

However, there is no limits and there is no past. Sovietwave is a Retro-Fusion music about possible future. You can already explore our collection of Retro-Fusion Soviet Clothing (Graphic Apparel).
